Thank you Linda for answer on the SOL... I think I just screwed myself on this particular point. I have a charge off started back in 1999 with Lane Bryant and I could have gotten out of it by now if I hadn't paid them. I still have a balance remaining left that I haven't paid since May;

1. Did the sol restarted this year since I paid in May?

2. Should I send a validation letter?

3. If I get a response back, should I try to work out some sort of offer that if I pay the remaining balance, they have to changed my statement to "unrated" or something like that?

I also have two accounts with Captial One that I do not want to be charge off because they have been good to me. I do want to pay the accounts off, should I do the same as above ask for a validation and then work out some sort of agreement?

I have an MBNA account also and from reading the archive, it seems to me that the settlement wasn't the best way to go. Too late.

Does anyone have an account with FSNB? Are they good?

Someone posted about the BBB; does that work if you file a compliant against the credit card company?
