The first thing to do is to STOP CALLING ANYONE. It is worthless.
Next, get a copy (free) of your credit reports. Send in a WRITTEN dispute RRR to the credit bureaus.On the accounts from 1996, dispute them as "over-age" and having become delinquent in 1995.On the duplicated accounts, simply list the entries and state these are for the same account. On the ones you have a record of paying, send a copy to the CRA's and refer to the account as paid. On anything else, just state you DO NOT KNOW this account, that you have had no such account on that date for that amount for that creditor. DO NOT dispute as "not mine" as all they will do is verify that they got your name correct.You should have most cleared away in a few months.
