Need loan... trouble getting it Please help ASAP

In 1998 my husband and I filed chapter 7, we have a couple of loans since then. One of them is a good loan and one went bad, voluntary repossesion, but we settled on this and paid it off. They are still in the process of getting it shown as settled on our credit report, but they sent me a letter stating that it has been settled and no more money is owed on the account. We also got a car loan through our local bank about 3 months ago but had to have a co signer. My credit report is also showing a bad debt to a finance company since the bk, but I disputed that through transunion because we have never had a loan through them and it was taken off, I have proof of that too, but at the banks they use Equifax and it is still on there. Now, I need a loan for some salon equipment since I am returning to work this week. I have tried at 2 banks and one said that they couldn't do it. The other bank ,which is the same one we got our car loan through 3 months ago with my mom co-signing told me the reason they couldn't do it was because of the finance company debt and the automobile. I told them I had proof that one wasn't mine and was settled and paid, they said they still couldn't do it in just our names we would have to have a co-signer. I don't understand this, and I really need the loan ASAP to get going in my new business. I only need $1500.00 too. Can anyone point me somewhere that might help me out. Thanks.
