I also had a bad experience with Chase. I received a notice one year that they were raising my interest rate. I called to inquire because I knew I did not have any late payments with ANY creditor. They informed me that they review your credit report every year and can adjust your rate at that time. When I pointed out that I had NO late payments with any creditors, the guy said they can up your interest rate for things like to many credit inquiries on your report. I too closed my account. As far as I'm concerned, what they do is immoral even if it's not illegal.
