I am about to sue a CA for trying to collect on a SOL cc debt. Just make absolutely sure you show up for court and just use the SOL as your defense. IF I were you I would also countersue for their filing a frivolous lawsuit. You could maybe just call them up and tell em you know the sol in ohio and you will show up and recite the SOL and they are wasting their time. These companies count on you not knowing the law and frankly I think it should be illegal and counted as fraud for what they are doing. When I send my intent to sue letter and if they do not respond(which of course they will not do) I am going to file maul fraud and federal fraud charges against the collector.
