The account was assigned not bought. It was finally cleared up a week before the trial. Thier attorney didn't even know of the change until I told him and he researched it. The reason I say exortion is because I can't understand how that it was confirmed that they were informed of the pay on the account but didn't send me anything and was still trying to collect the full amount. I know that they work on commission by getting a percentage of what they collect right? Could this be the incentive for the gal trying to collect on the whole amount paid or not? The bottom line is the CA was informed,(even though I don't have documentation I can get it I'm sure from the hospital), and still tried to collect on a debt that was paid and were informed of this by thier client. After reading some posts on how some CAs can be devious, The preceding is what I came up with. Thank You again Why Chat for the response. Does anyone else understand what I'm getting at? Any other feedback and advice would be much appreciated.
