CAMCO uses "docket numbers" as their internal reference numbers. It's a way to shore up their threat of lawesuit. I'd think others who buy expired debt might do the same, but your first calls should be to check the docket number, with your city, county, state clerks.

Who is CI? Anyone know?

Have you received ANY correspondence from a CA?

Do you have any recent defaults or expired debt that was unpaid?
