Ch 13 if completed -stays on your report for 7 years, if you cannot complete it and it is dismissed,it stays on 10 years. Last time I looked,only 34% of ch 13 were completed,the rest either converted to ch 7- or were dismissed.
Unless you have a LOT of non exempt assets to protect -there is no valid reason to do a ch 13. Your actual credit, in terms of buying a house etc. would be better in 3 or 4 years with a ch7 than if you were still paying on a ch 13.
