Only one thing to add. The SOL is NOT figured from the charge-off date, it is figured from the 'date of last activity', usually the last time a payment was made. Your credit report, if its still in there, should show the D.O.L. and you can use that to figure the SOL. If you have records yourself of when it was last paid on, that'll work as well.
