We bought an enclosed trailer while living in Florida through a finance agency. We then moved to NC and refinanced through a company there. To make a long story short, we stopped paying the finance company, it has been over 5 years and we want to get rid of the trailer. Can we legally sell it? We do not have a tag at this time, it has been parked for the last 5 years. Just wanting to get rid of the burden but don't want to do anything illegal.

RE the authorization question as to whether a child did it or not...NO, my children are adults and do not take money or anything else from us. My son used to play online games but we paid for that via my checking account card and he stopped all games early in 2001 (June being the charging date) and cancelled those he had. When we first went to use my cc's for payment they would not work as everyone online had my zip code wrong. When I remembered it was different, it was my checking account that we had gotten to. That is the account which was charged for his games. At no time did I ever have a charge on my cc for them. This was while living in SC and yes it was an online game via Sony's website. My son had two accounts, he realized within one week he couldn't handle but one and this is the one that he cancelled. It was never charged to my credit card, he had a free month play card from a hand controller that he had purchased. I figure I will eat this and told him he will have to pay me if that happens, no matter what the circumstances, but it is not right.

Someone here said pay off your cc but don't close it and why is that? They charge me a monthly fee for these cards, I got them to help re-establish credit but still I get turned down even after almost 2 years of on time payments.
