It's definitely a scam. For that, file a complaint with your state's attorney general. It's only a lawsuit if you can show some kind of damages, and someone besides you and your son sees that credit report. Let him apply for a student loan or a some credit cards and get turned down. Then you have damages and defamation of credit. Otherwise, you just go through the procedures to get it cleared up. Your choice. :) Linda
