Linda, does Amex reissue chargeoffed accounts??

I've seen you twice say that amex will "rehab" accounts that were previously charged off, if you pay them in full. But then I've seen other people say that this is simply a scam by CA using phony Amex letterhead trying to get you to pay up. Set the record straight, does Amex actually reissue cards to people who have had their accounts charged off- if the customer repays the original CC debt in full?
