As I understand the FDCPA law about CONTACTING someone in the military, it is prohibited by CA's,permitted by OC's.
As I understand the "garnishment" of military wages, it can only be done with PERMISSION of the debtor.There is NO legal way an OC or CA can "garnish" military pay without first obtaining a civil judgment.
Suing someone for a debt while they are in the military is VERY difficult, I read the procedures and do not believe any CA (or OC) would bother.

Having said all that, I go back to my original post,depending on the State, the time spent out of the Country in Military Service MAY or MAY NOT be "tolled".

I KNOW it IS tolled for causes of action relating to the right's of the serviceperson to SUE, however, I believe they left the liability for BEING sued up to each State.
