RBall, Do you work for ChexSystems? If you do, you would be aware that they all work with equifax, and medical agencies, etc to use consumers information for a variety of "safety measures." Before you are so quick to judge, take a look at yourself and change the tone. For all you know, a situation could happen in your life that causes you to be able to cover checks you may have out there at any given time. Don't be so arrogant to feel that you can't be put in a situation to where you can lose everything and still have checks floating out there that may get caught at the wrong time. You may have been lucky thus far, but nothing is promised. What you become disabled at this very minute and are unable to financially do anything for awhile. They will get you in one of several ways, by messing you up on Chexsystems, reporting you to the credit bureaus, or flagging you as a risk that imposes insurance coverage, medical denials for certain things, and the list can go on.

As for Banks, ChexSystems, etc, I wouldn't even worry about ChexSystems. When depositing your money in a savings and loan instutions, you really are not getting a big interest pay on your investment, if you borrow from them, they charge you way more than what they pay you for lending your money out, and why give them the benefit of knowing what your true assets are...There are credit unions out here that you can establish an account with that will allow you savings, checking, and an ATM card, give you better interest rates, and a sense of worth. If you are still persistant on having a bank account, view the FTC Fair Credit site and pull information relating to bank that don't use Telechex, ChexSystems, and other services that get an attitude because they can't lend your money out...

Sorry for taking so long...
