SOL on judgements in NY is 10 years, but they can be renewed over and over. So, the first thing you should do is find out if the judgement has, in fact, been renewed. If it has, you might be able to work out a settlement. If the judgement has NOT been renewed, the the SOL has run out on it and they can't make you pay it.
