I have been served with a lawsuit that I responded to saying that neither my husband or I ever had an account with a company called National Loan Recoveries. I also faxed a request for the original creditor and a valid letter of assignment. I did that on August 8 and I know it was received - I have a fax confirmation. I didn't want to send another request yet because I thought that if they didn't respond within 30 days it might help my case. I haven't heard anything from them so far. If they could identify the original creditor is it not likely that they would they not have done that by now? Or named the original creditor in this law suit? Maybe they are just trying to frighten me into paying. But I don't have anything to pay them with anyway.
