I did send my answer to the court via certified mail. I have a copy of the complaint that was mailed to me. I assumed I was sent a complete copy of what the court had. As I assuming too much? What I have does not mention the name of the orginal creditor anywhere - without overwhelming you with details the only reference to another creditor is this statement "Pursuant to the account so established and from time to time thereafter, Plaintiff and/or its predecessor in interest, if any, advanced funds to adn for Defendant(s)'s account. Defendant (s) is/are obligated to repay the sums so advanced by Plaintiff." Nowhere does it name the original creditor and only refers to "Plaintiff and/or its predecessor in interest". It could be anyone of a several of creditors. Or maybe not mine at all. I have no way of telling. Would the fact the I didn't respond to earlier letters they sent hurt me in court. I really was overwhelmed at the time with a number of personal issues and couldn't keep up with it all.
