It would be a good idea to senda letter, CRRR to the Finance Co. Legal Dept.
Give them the facts of the situation, explain that you do not desire to have to take any further action, but wish to be on record that they owe you the difference in the storage fees,and that they need to be aware that any reporting of this incident in any derogatory way on your consumer credit reports is a violaton of the FCRA and your State's consumer protection laws.
Tell them that you will not take any further action, or forward a copy of this letter to any State or Federal authorities,or seek any addiional damages if they rectify this situation immediately.
