Well, it's not fair to the consumer due to the FICO models use of credit utilization as a scoring determinate. I saw an article on bankrate.com last year that CRA's were encouraging cc companies to report limits. At the time, Discover didn't report either. I've seen some people send a copy of their cc statement to the CRA's with the cl highlighted and ask them to report. It works for some but, not for others and it never seems to work permanently.

It'll take either a lawsuit or, preferably Congressional legislation amending the FCRA to require cc companies to report cl's.
