Important Supposed Validation..WhyChat (anyone)

Ok, Why Chat told me to validate a debt with NCO even though debt is within SOL because we suspected for one they weren't licensed in this state. This now has me nervous because noooow all I'm seeing is DON'T ask for validation if you're within SOL. They sent a "validation". It was basically the statements that were sent by the original creditor. The didn't fill in anything on the questionaaire I sent and used their own form, nor did they tell if the debt was assigned or bought, and they stated they were licensed here to collect by this and that agency. My question is..is this a correct validation? I'm personally not sending the slime bags a dime (don't have it to send actually) but these are the ones who called the neighborhood and told more info than they really should have and even acted like they were the OC. Second question is what should be my next approach on this. If it's not a correct validation, then what. If it IS correct then what? Thanks in advance.
