They can't repo stuff you purchased. If you are still in Tx.you have another 11 months to go before they cannot sue you.If this is, as you say 1/10 of your total debt, you are better off filng BK7 now,and getting it over wit. Tx has complete Homestead exemption and no garnishment, so if your debts DO go to judgment, there is little exposure, however, a judgment on record in Tx acts as an attachment to any and all present and future property you own,and Tx is a community property State, so the fact that it is in your wife's name, or joint ownership won't matter. It will keep you from buying, selling, or refinancing your home.
