Did you double check the dates. You are pretty darm close to the SOL - 11 months goes by fast. Are they threatening you? The fact that RMA said they purchased the debt also has me wondering... if they have checked and know that you don't have anything, and even if you go back to work they couldn't garnish your pay, makes me think you would be on the bottom of the "to sue" list. Although I would keep in mind that Sears is vindictive about defaulted debts.

Perhpas consult and attorney, get everything together (including cash for lawyer and fees) and wait - if they start legal procedings, then you would be ready to file fast.
