I've been doing some web-crawling myself on the network news sites. Here are a few thoughts:

1 - I think we should target shows like Dateline, 60 Minutes (1 and 2), PrimeTime, 20/20, and 48 Hours. These typically do a lot of investigative reporting and devote more time to a segment. Things like Good Morning America, Today, etc. are too early in the day to get any really major coverage and their segments are much too short for what WE want to get them to dig up.

2 - Lets not forget FoxNews, there are several shows on Fox that get a LOT of attention. Also possible is MSNBC network.. Chris Matthews on Hardball would tear these guys a new a$$hole, but I don't know if he sticks to political issues or not. We could put out a few feelers on those.

3 - I think we should work on a draft basic contact letter to send to ALL of the shows. ABT has 3, CBS has 3, NBC only 1.. but we mail the ALL, ya never know which producer is going to be interested.

I have scouted the major news sites for e-mail addresses (just in case the links Euterpe found are stale).

Survey - great idea .. who's going to start the thread ? Or.. perhaps we should use another survey-only type site.. I'll investigate.

I'm ready to do this... my fiance doesn't have the time to participate but *I* do !
