I have now received a letter from the credit store, dated 8-29, stating they contacted me about this debt. Also stating that they placed a temp. hold on contacting me pending validation and stated that their responce may exceed 30 days. Towards the bottom of the page there is a statment saying that unless you notify this office within 30 days that you dispute the validity of this debt or any portion thereof we assume this debt is valid.I have already faxed a letter stating that I wanted proof with signature confirmation on all charges. Was I wrong to do this? Than the letter states that this is an attempt to collect a debt and any info. obtained will be used for that porpose. But what gets me is the last thing they say: The Credit Store's records lead us to believe that the age of your outstanding debt keeps us from filing suit to collect it. So why are contacting me? I will send them a dispute letter. I just thought I'd talk to someone who could give me some advise...Thank-you...Ray
