Last year my mortgage company sold my mortgage to another company and i was sent a letter informing me of the changeover. After this point i did not receive a monthly statement telling me the due date of the payments. What ended up happening is i missed one months payment and it subsequently rolled over for 5 months without me even knowing about it. I wrote a letter to the company asking if they would fix my credit and they say they are in the right. They say it is service to send out payment information. Is this correct? All other companies i deal with send out monthly payment requests, so i assumed i would receive the same from my mortgage company. How was i supposed to know when to pay the bill if i didn't receive any payment request?

Does anyone know if i can resolve this issue or if i have any legal standings to correct my credit rating?

Thanks for any helful info.
