Sol letter?

I have several things on my credit report that are over 14 years old and I would like to send the cra a SOL letter but I dont have one.Could someone point me in the right direction?I also wanted to know if disputing with the cra's through their online site is affective?I need to answer a collection agencie on one of these old accounts but dont know if I should send them an SOL letter or have them validate any help would be appreciated.Thanks
