Right, Ultimately, if he/she wants this job, he/she has to agree to this. I don't blame anyone for wondering about it though. I often think, when I purchase something on a website "are the guys who work on the database bonded? what if they stole my information?"

And what about the IT folks at the credit bureaus? Don't we want to be sure that they can be trusted?

I can think of all kinds of situations where it could apply.
