I am currently paying an attorney's office for a $3,000 bill for Sears. They will place judgement against you. I was served with papers and we worked out a payment plan. Try to solve this early on...the offered me cheaper payments in the beginning but I kept saying I couldn't afford it. I had to accept the final offer to avoid court. I now have to pay my debt plus like $900 in court costs...ect. Sears is ruthless! Do not try to fight them, they will take you to court and you will have to pay anyways. I pay every 2 weeks when I get paid and will be paid off by December. One piece of advice, I have an automated debit for the payments and I told them they need to send me a receipt of payment every time. This will protect you when it is all paid off and Sears tries to come back and say you owe them money.
