Right you can qualify for a mortgage with satisfied judgments, but the effect they have on your score will keep you from getting the very best rates. If these are the only thing on your reports, it would be worth having the judgments vacated. If there are enough other things on there to keep you from getting the best rates, I wouldn't bother.

When it comes to DMV issues, consumers can always request a hearing with DMV officials to have judgments and other items (like things on your driving record - suspensions, etc) withdrawn and thus removed completely from the record. If you are out of the state because of military service or there are other valid reasons why you cannot return to the state for the hearing, they will do it in a conference call.
