CAMCO called regarding charge-off account from 1992. They scared us into giving them a post dated check over the phone. Following day, spoke with local lawyer and stated that it is illegal to do this without written correspondence. Can I stop payment on the check and send them a cease and desist letter?? Is this a good idea?
