I had an account with Providian that charged-off last year. I could not keep up with the payments b/c the intrest rate was 23% They are now saying I can settle this for $1800 but I still don't have that much. Can I negoiate for a lower settlement? Or can I pay that-when I get the cash- and ask that it be removed from credit report.
