I had two collections for utility bills placed on my credit last year. I waited for the bills to change hands to a new CA and then I disputed them on my credit report and they were removed. Then when the new CA's contacted me for one of the accounts I paid the account before they put anything on my credit report. However, the last one I have not paid it yet and was wondering if I should just pay it or try to get something in writing from CA that they will not enter anything on my credit report. My only concern is that I don't want to alert them that it is not on my credit any more because they seem to think it is. If I pay it do you think they will try to update it as paid and then find out it was removed and put it back?
