I would call Providian Collections and talk with the person I made an agreement with to find out what's up, because an agreement was made.

However, if the agreement was made to settle for LESS THAN what you owed, a situation I did not see covered in previous posts here, they may have sold the unpaid balance if there's nothing to prevent them from doing that legally.
