If the SOL runs out on a debt that means the collection agency cant collect on it right?
How long can a creditor keep a defiency account open? I had a clothing store card and had a small balance on it. I made a move and I had thought the card was paid. I didnt recieve any bills or notices. The account was shown as open for almost 3 years after the defiency. It made the account way past due and I think it is the major contributor to helping my credit score stay low. I got the card in Fl.
