This will probably sound like a really dumb question, but please bear with me. I've seen replies, usually by WhyChat, which the statement 'if your credit report shows you have assets...'. How does your credit report show assets ?? Obviously, a home loan, or perhaps purchases from a furniture store or something, but other than that, how can a CR prove you have assets ?? You sure couldn't find that out by looking at mine. With the exception of the purchase of a coffee and sofa table 2 years ago, you couldn't 'see' any assets using my credit report that I could figure out.

Just curious if there's something that is assumed by these collectors whey they pull a CR.

Thanks !
