Thanks to you I have had a great deal of success straightening out my credit issues. I am pretty well pleased with the results from Experian and Trans Union. Equifax however is still causing some problems. There is one CA who had three fairly small accounts. These were eventually placed with another agency who was paid. On my credit report in June 2002 they were still being reported by the first CA, two aants with a 0 balance and one showing $86. I disputed the one with the balance with Equifax and sent a validation letter to the CA. The CA has yet to respond but Equifax not only confirmed but now show the accounts that were 0 as $40 each and the one that was $86 now $109. I sent copies of my letters and green cards from the CA to Equifax and asked them to reinvestigate. I also sent a letter to the CA quoting the FDCPA and demanding that these accounts be validated or removed immediately. Equifax sent a letter to me saying that they were reinvestigating but still no word from the CA. There is a notation on the accnt entries that says "shared but otherwise undesignated" I am not sure what that means. I tried to contact the CA that actually collected the debt but have been informed that the owner had died and so the company had gone out of buisness. These are also beyond sol anyway for both the state they occurred in and the state I live in now. What is the quickest way for me to resolve this. I'm not willing to pay a debt that has allready been collected even though it is a small amount. Thanks for any advice you have.
