Last year, Citibank, Chase, and MBNA sent me a change in terms that called for arbitration. They didn't try and slide anything by me. I got a letter with the proposals in plain language and I had a choice in accepting them or not. If you're old enough to sign a cc contract, you're old enough to read and understand what you're signing. You get a Terms & Conditions statement when you get a card. In fact, the sticker on the card will say by activating the card you accept the T&C. You got to know what you sign and if you don't like it, don't take the card. Like it or not, I think arbitration is here to stay. The best way to protect yourself is be informed about what you sign.
