Sounds like it's time for a consumer revolt against the CC companies. Time to pay off those cards and keep only one to use only for emergencies and in those cases where you have to have one, like for renting a car; cut up the rest. Put money into a savings account and use that for purchases and pay yourself back....kind of like creating your own secured CC...no interest to pay to anyone and no CC black hole to fall into. I'm planning on doing this and hopefully will be able to do it. CC companies can't make money if no one uses their cards anymore. Unbelievable how they operate.
