Sorry, I should have used "prove" instead of "validate". If the CA has "purchased" the debt either from the OC or as part of a package deal, and if the OC does not have any records of the account, then the CA would have to PROVE DOLA. That would be somewhat difficult to do if the OC can't provide any records, wouldn't it.

Example: My records show DOLA as being 6/98 but the CA says that it's 6/00. They would have to PROVE, with records, that DOLA is 6/00. The only way that the CA could prove ANYTHING is to use records held by the OC. Am I right or am I missing something here? I just don't want to leave any stone unturned if the CA decides to sue.
