The paments were reported as late on 12/2000 and 3/2001 to equifax. they were reported to TRW as 2 times late, no date. they reported to experian 4/ and 5/ 2001 as late. TRW and Experian removed the report from my file. equifax found for my creditor and changed the date to say two unknown dates. I ask for another reinvestigation and again equifax found for the creditor but also changed the date of the reported late payment to say, 2 times late. I have all the records to show the account was never late. I sent copys to a MR. King of Equifax. I also went to Why Chat web sight and took a letter.I sent it, asking Mr. King for names address and phone numbers. You know the drill. I figured he would figure it out. No, that was over a month ago, and I have not heard a word. The creditor has sent two letters. One when I ask them about there reporting me late. There letter says very clear that they made a mustake and would fix it. Mr. King also got a copy ot that letter. The other letter came when I paid off the account, 4-mounts earley. This was an installment account and now shows on the credit file as paid, closed, and showing it was paid 2 times late. I look at the FCRA text and see that the responsiblties of a furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies with actual knowledge of errors is a big no no. My question might be sitting on a line. Is the responce to a reinvestigation a report. My credit file shows that every reinvestigation has a date of the results and the credit files shows that the date the creditor last report. You see I did not just do two reinvestigation. I got mad, I made a third one and then a fourth and then a 5th.I sent the creditor two letters one certified . I sent Mr. King a letter two letters and no answer to anything. So its attorney time I think. Yes I have all the records, and checks, and copys of letters. What I do not know is is the ancer to a reinvestigation a report. Because if it is not. I don't think I have a thing. If it is, then I have five reports all made rong and the creditors letter to me clearley shows they had actual knowledge of errors. What do you think. Is this a question that a judge would have to rule. I have done a little looking and there are not to many attorneys that really know credit law. I live in a good size city and about 90 miles away is San Francisco. I have looked and there is not one expert. There are alot of attorneys that will do a BK and help fix credit problems. But an attorney I contacted in the mid west, on his web sight told me the name of an attorney that is 140 miles away from me. I did not ask him this question and he did not have time to spend on this. He was helping to find some one that know what they were doing. So , I found and attorney and need only to contact her. But the question that keeps running through my head. Is the reinvestigation a report? What do ya think befor I run to an attorney 140 miles away.
