Who should I write?

Help! I've been passed back and forth all morning. I have an incorrect account showing up on my credit report with a huge balance for Crestar which I had disputed and removed 4 years ago. It was sold to a collection agency which was then resold again last year. Crestar corrected the error but these agencies insist that they are mine and I have an outstanding balance. Do I just write a letter of dispute to the 3 credit bureaus or should I send the same letter to Crestar/MBNA, and these two other agancies as well? (With all my previous correspondence from 4 years ago)
Thanks in adavance for any advice?
