My ducks are soooooo in a row, Thanks for the help. Re: the summons I recieved. There is a case# handwritten on the 1st page but a search shows that it is not actually filed YET. So I will send SOL letter to plaintiff (atty rep for asset accept corp)along with (this is where I am confused) Answer AND Notice of Appearance? Then I hold off filing anything with the court until I'm notified that case is actually filed? Should I not depend on being notified (who would tell me anyway, the atty? yeh right)and keep a look out at the 'public records' site and as soon as I see my name up...file with the court? Does filing with the court mean I personally deliver papers to the courthouse and get a "reciept stamp" just like I plan to do with the pprwk I'm taking to the plaintiff (the office is an hour away...would sending certified return reciept be ok?)They only show a PO box on the complaint/summons but I've got enough sense to know I need to call them for a physical address anyway whether I deliver or mail. Time's ticking away. I'll let ya know what happens for those who may be approaching this same situation.
