The date last reported means nothing. If you disputed with the CRAs then the date of last report would be 30 days from now. That does not mean it was reaged. It should have the chargeoff date listed somewhere although it is probably in 1997. the SOL for open ended account(credit cards as described in the truth in lending act) for south carolina is a paltry 3 years. This means if they take legal action to collect on those debts just make sure you show up and state to the court the debts are time barred and therefore not collectable. My advise unless they are bugging the hell out of you is to do nothing. If you dispute you never know what desperate measures they will do. You have 2 years left on your credit report. Unless you have some credit you need in the worst way I say for that large amount of debt to just wait it out.
