Giving out "free" stuff to hook college kid is nothing new. They hire students to get their classmates trapped into whatever unbreakable habit they can. They call it establishing "brand loyalty" It used to be, (not that long ago) it was cigarettes handed out to trap kids into a bad habit,now it's credit cards.
