the pending BK bill ..

over the weekend major banking leaders from MBNA CITIGROUP & SEARS met with rep. delay to push for a vote on the pending bankruptcy bill before congress leaves for fall recess in about 10 days .. according to tom delay's office he would like to see this bill voted on before they leave for recess & he'll do what he can do ( hes republican 2nd in charge in the house )but he also said the banking lobbying groups MUST step up the pressure over the next week which they are going to do .. this bill has way more than enough votes to pass if voted on this week but whether house republican leadership brings it up to the floor for a vote is still doubtfull becouse of the abortion lauguage incerted into the bill last summer by sen. schuler of newyork , about 40 republicans will not go along with that BUT over 40 democrats pledged TREIR support to over come the 40 reps ... tell ya what , this bill was ALL written during the mid 90's when our economy was amazingly strong but now our economy is in scambles dow at 7500 nasdaq at 1175 with huge layoffs and corporate fraud so honestly , who does this bill help ???? it helps ONLY big business period , im fairly sure when WE voted for our congressmen WE voted for them to represent us not big damn business , its a joke .. kelly ..........
