Emergency question

I previously posted on 9/08 under"complicated decision."Well this is going to sound kind of shady BUT I was sitting in court for my hearing when I got an emergency phone call from my daughters daycare that she had fallen off a piece of playground equipment and was headed to the emergency room.I told the clerk on the way out that I had an emergency and had to go.I didnt really wait for any kind of response from her because,well I care more about my daughter than anything else.Well the next day I called the court to see what I needed to do and they told me a default judgement had already been ruled against me.I asked them what I needed to do to start filing an appeal and they said they couldnt tell me.I called legal aid and they told me they only handle criminal cases.I want to file an appeal because if I cant get the judgement overturned ,I will have to file ch. 7.It is the proverbial "straw" that broke the camels back for me.So I have exhausted every resource I could think of trying to get everything I need to file an appeal and have come up empty handed.Is there ANYONE who could maybe walk me through the papers I need to have or the process or at least point me to a source for all the proper paper work forms etc.?I only have 5 days left so I'm in dire need right now.Thank you.........
