I reviewed my 3 reports and found all three had listed an unpaid bill froman electric company, now in the hands of a collection agency. I have no recollection of any unpaiod bills from thsi company, having last doen business with them in 1997, when I moved from the area. It is highly unlikley I would not have left any bills unpaid during this period, and I left a forwarding address for mail. The bill showed up in my files in 2001. In disputing this item, I sent documentation that I was not living in the area where the electric company operates during the time the item was listed in my CR. Only Transunion dleted the item. The other two left it in place with no explanation, and now the collection agency is contacting me at my new address. So, Now What? Given that they did not formally address this item in their response to me, can I demand it be deleted? Should I just pay it?
