OK-here are the max interest charges allowed Subd. 4a. Finance charge for motor vehicle retail installment sales. A retail installment contract evidencing the retail installment sale of a motor vehicle as defined in section 168.66 is subject to the finance charge limitations in paragraphs (a) and (b). (a) The finance charge authorized by this subdivision in a retail installment sale may not exceed the following annual percentage rates: (1) Class 1. A motor vehicle designated by the manufacturer by a year model of the same or not more than one year before the year in which the sale is made, 18 percent per year. (2) Class 2. A motor vehicle designated by the manufacturer by a year model of two to three years before the year in which the sale is made, 19.75 percent per year. (3) Class 3. Any motor vehicle not in Class 1 or Class 2, 23.25 percent per year. In addition, the seller may not have had equitable title to the car, in which case it would be a fraudulent transfer.He may not have been licensed to sell on an installment plan.The car may have been illegally obtained. Send me, via e-mail, the name of the SELLER, (I do not need the name of the buyer)The year make model & vin # of the car, the name of the ca that is suing, and on whose behalf. The date of the last payment they made.And most of all, did they have a TITLE that they transferred to the junkyard.
