well just my opinion but honestly i would'nt let them scare ya becouse if you have no assets & like you say in texas wage garnishments are not allowed honestly theres not much they can do EXCEPT huff & puff & the 1 thing collectors ARE GREAT AT is being bags of wind .. whychats advise is always great so id listen to what he says but like i say dont really worry its not worth it .. yes your credit will be ruined for about 7 years from 1st default & IF they decide to follow through & sue they'll get a judgement on your credit report & at that time AND that time only id myself file for bankruptcy .. just remember dont ever let them scare ya cause their all wind bags & nothing more so maybe get call id & dont answer when they call , the balls ALWAYS in your court .. good luck , kel ....
