Here's the thing, I would suggest you talk to a Bankruptcy attorney. My parent's filed Chapter 7 BK, in Florida a few years ago. I know they kept certain "bills" out; their car and a furniture bill.

I would do this ASAP! The reason being is this, it you get a judgment against you before you are in the Bankruptcy, process, the "Judgement Creditor" can petition the court NOT TO LET THE DEBT BE DISCHARGED; which would mean that even though you filed BK, you still owe the judgment. Also, you can almost guarantee they will try to put a lien on you vehicle(s).

Talk to a BK Attorney. If you decied to go with it, the "protection" process is very quick, almost immediately you can tell the CA's or Creditor's you are filing and refer any questions to your attorney.
